Arsenal weigh up striker options after missing out on Vinicius Jr
Arsenal could battle Manchester United for 21-year-old Italy striker Pio Esposito, who Inter Milan value at £73m, the Sun reports. Having missed out on Real Madrid’s Brazil forward Vinicius Jr, 26, Arsenal now have three alternative targets, according to the Independent. Those are Paris St-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, Atletico Madrid’s Argentina striker Julian Alvarez, 26, and Everton’s Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye, 26.
Arsenal are also interested in signing Tottenham’s Argentina centre-back Cristian Romero, 28, but Tottenham will refuse to sell him to their north London rivals, per the Mirror. Meanwhile, Aston Villa team-mates of Ezri Konsa are increasingly resigned to the possibility of losing the 28-year-old England defender to Arsenal, according to the Mail.
Liverpool in talks over Barcola as other clubs eye moves
Liverpool have held preliminary talks with Paris St-Germain for France forward Bradley Barcola, 23, but there is a significant gap in the two clubs’ valuations, according to Sky Sports.
