Ipswich Town Sign Sasa Lukic from Fulham

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Serbia midfielder Sasa Lukic from Fulham for an undisclosed fee. The 29-year-old has signed a contract with the Suffolk club until 2030.

Move follows Diop switch from Fulham

Lukic made 26 Premier League appearances last season and joined Fulham from Torino in January 2023. He went on to make a total of 106 appearances for the Cottagers. He is the second player to move from Fulham to Ipswich this summer, following Morocco defender Issa Diop. Lukic said he could not wait to play at Portman Road as a home player, adding that the atmosphere there had been one of the best he had experienced when he played in the Premier League previously.

Experienced international arrives with World Cup pedigree

Lukic has won 62 caps for Serbia and represented his country at the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 European Championship. At Italian club Torino, he made 168 appearances over seven seasons and scored 14 goals. Ipswich manager Gary O’Neil said Lukic brings real experience to the squad heading into the new season. O’Neil added that Lukic has played nearly 100 games in the Premier League and knows what it takes to compete in the division, having been a consistent performer throughout his time at Fulham.
